The Oratory, Scattery Island, Clare

Scattery Island The Oratory About two metres north of the Cathedral stands St Senan's Oratory. Like the Cathedral the oratory was also fenced of by the O.P.W during my visit. This small nave and chancel church is over 7 metres in length and almost 4 metres wide. Pictured left is the west gable which features the only window of the building. This gable has been rebuilt from the window upwards. The almost completely destroyed doorway is situated in the south wall. To the west of here stands the round tower.
